Meet Gabriel

A Table, A Feeling, A Story: Inside Amore Pasta Club

At some point, life gently — or sometimes firmly — pushes us back toward what truly matters. For Gabriel, that moment arrived in his mid-thirties. After exploring different paths, he felt the need to return to his first love: feeding people, welcoming them, and creating places where life happens around a table. Today, that journey finds a beautiful expression at Amore Pasta Club.

More than a restaurant, Amore Pasta Club is a mindset. A place where simplicity is deliberate, where every plate tells a clear story, and where design, hospitality, and emotion work together in quiet harmony. Here, architecture meets lifestyle, interior design supports the experience, and food becomes a shared language. The result is a space that feels effortless — yet deeply thought through.

In a world searching for meaning, Amore Pasta Club reminds us that inspiration often lies in the simplest things: a well-chosen glass, a perfectly cooked pasta, the warmth of a sincere welcome. This conversation with Gabriel reveals how alignment, friendship, and attention to detail can turn a restaurant into a home away from home.

She Said Yes!

SSY            Who are you, and how did the Amore Pasta Club story begin?

Gabriel      My name is Gabriel, I’m 48. Around my mid-thirties, I realized I needed to go back to my first job. I had tried many things, but something was missing.

Cooking and hospitality were always there in the background. At some point, I had to be honest with myself. Amore Pasta Club was born from that need to reconnect with what really makes sense to me.

SSY            What were you missing before coming back to restaurants?

Gabriel      The direct connection with people. In a restaurant, everything is immediate. You feel it right away.

One table can be perfect, and the next one starts from zero. It’s intense, sometimes exhausting, but very real. That’s what I missed the most.

SSY            Why did you choose a short menu at Amore Pasta Club?

Gabriel      Because making simple food is very hard.

We wanted to focus on a few dishes and do them well. A short pasta menu, recipes that change regularly, but always clear and generous. We prefer control and quality over too many options.

SSY            Why pasta, specifically?

Gabriel      Pasta is about sharing. It’s part of Italian culture.

You sit down, you eat, you talk, you take your time. It feels natural. We wanted people to feel comfortable, almost like at home.

SSY            Design feels very important here. Why is that?

Gabriel      Design is one of the reasons I came back to restaurants.

Every detail matters: the glasses, the plates, the lighting, the music. Nothing is random. Design should help people feel good, not distract them.

SSY            How would you describe the atmosphere of Amore Pasta Club?

Gabriel      Simple and warm.

We don’t want to impress anyone. We want people to feel relaxed as soon as they walk in. Everything should feel easy and natural.

SSY            You often talk about meaning. What does that mean to you today?

Gabriel      It means doing something that fits who you are.

At some point, you can’t pretend anymore. You need to be aligned with your work. Amore Pasta Club reflects what I want to do today.

SSY            How important is the team in this project?

Gabriel      It’s essential.

We work with a chef and a floor manager who share the same vision. Keep things short, simple, and good. When everyone goes in the same direction, guests feel it.

SSY           Has your way of working changed since Covid?

Gabriel     Yes, clearly. People don’t come just to eat anymore.

They want to live a moment. They are more attentive and more demanding. You need to be honest, professional, and consistent.

SSY           What makes a good restaurant experience for you?

Gabriel     It’s the whole picture.

Food matters, of course, but so does the welcome, the service, and the atmosphere. If one detail is off, everything feels different.

SSY           What do you want guests to feel when they leave?

Gabriel     I want them to say, “That was nice. Let’s come back.”

Nothing more. Nothing less. That’s already a lot.

SSY           Do you see Amore Pasta Club as a lifestyle place?

Gabriel     Yes, absolutely.

It’s a place to slow down, to share, to enjoy something simple and well done. No pressure. Just a good moment.

SSY           How do you see the future of Amore Pasta Club?

Gabriel     Keeping the same direction.

Doing things properly, every day, without losing the original idea. Consistency is key.

SSY           If you had to describe Amore Pasta Club in a few words?

Gabriel     Simple, honest, and comforting.
